each table using one of the entry-point themes to discuss one of three topics :
– Connecting people
– Connecting organisations
– Connecting policies

1530- 1630 Second session of working groups, in the same mode but with rotation of all
participants except for the hosts/rapporteurs at each table
1630 to 1730 Plenary
Presentation by artists/directors of short films/events within the Conference theme
Meanwhile, hosts/rapporteurs of the 9 round tables compile, and mount around
the Conference room, the outcomes of the afternoon’s work
1900 Conference dinner – possibly with music and emphasis on local food
Friday 21 May
On arrival, participants receive the Summary of key ideas arising from the
previous day’s discussion

– Transition Towns
– A major distributor of food or energy
0945-1100 Third session of working groups, in World Café mode with nine ‘round tables’,
focused on the earlier topics (Connecting people .. organisations .. policies to
sustainability), but in operational mode :
• What should be done ?
• What can we do ?
• What are our (individual / collective) commitments?
• What are our next steps ?
Coffee available throughout the afternoon
1100- 1230 Fourth session of working groups, in the same mode but with rotation of all
participants except for the hosts/rapporteurs at each table
1230-1400 Lunch, and display of all ideas from the four working group sessions
1400-1515 Plenary session : Bringing the ideas together
A fishbowl format, with an inner circle – nine hosts, one facilitator, two empty
chairs
The other participants seated in one or two outer circles
Discussion ONLY among inner circle participants. Other participants may briefly
take one of the empty sets in order to offer an input.
Main topic : Changes and comments to the Gothenburg file in order to come to
the Kraków Declaration

Hosts, facilitator and SURE partners come together to draft the Kraków
Declaration
1600-1715 Plenary : The Kraków Declaration
` The Declaration appears on the screen, is read out, discussed section-wise and
approved by acclamation, if no major objection arises. (Those official bodies
which cannot properly assent may formally abstain.)
The Declaration will form the focus of a report, bringing together the outcomes of
the Gothenburg and Kraków events, to be widely disseminated.
